Ryan Suarez
For over fifteen years, Ryan Suarez has been a noteworthy contributor to the commercial, industrial, and retail construction and civil engineering scene. A licensed Professional Engineer, Ryan is the Vice President of Development at Robert Evans Company and brings with him focused dedication, extensive experience, and a passion for collaboration.
Originally from San Diego, California, Ryan was intrigued by designing spaces that impact the built environment. An outdoor enthusiast, learning how Civil Engineering can play a role in improving water quality through innovative stormwater treatment systems was inspiring. These were just a few of the factors that piqued his interests as he embarked on his career journey.
Ryan attended the University of California, San Diego, and obtained his Bachelors degree in structural engineering. Shortly afterward, he dove into his career, starting in a position for the County of San Diego and moving up as a Junior Engineer for a small but respected Civil/Structural firm. This experience gave him a solid and respected foundation, and soon he decided to relocate to the Pacific Northwest.
Recognizing Portland as an excellent spot for outdoor lovers and a hub for the music scene, not to mention the abundant career opportunities, Ryan took a job at a multi-disciplinary firm, expanding on his role of Civil Engineer while leading a small but talented staff. He was recognized as a Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon in the winter of 2011 and joined Robert Evans Company in 2016.
Many of Ryan’s proudest achievements include working as a project manager for several notable projects at Robert Evans Company, such as the Peterson Machinery Company and Edwards Vacuum Manufacturing.
As an enthusiastic and detail-oriented partner, Ryan takes pride in being an active listener and looking out for the best interest of each project. When Ryan isn’t exceeding expectations and going the extra mile for his clients, you may find him embracing the great outdoors or enjoying time at home, working in his garden, and playing with his dog, Rio.
